ANTONIO GONZALEZ

(HEAD COACH)

CERTIFICATIONS: CROSSFIT LEVEL 1, CROSSFIT JOINT & MOBILITY , USA OLYMPIC LIFTING (MIKE BURGENER), 9TH PLACE 2012 O.C. THROWDOWN CROSSFIT COMPETITION (MASTERS DIVISION), A.C.E., AFAA, INTOCOMBAT TRAINING FOR GRAPPLING (JUAN CARLOS SANTANA), PERFORM BETTER FUNCTIONAL TRAINING, PURPLE BELT BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU (FERNANDO VASCONCELOS), 2007 GOLD MEDAL PAN-AMERICAN CHAMPION, 2008 GOLD MEDAL NABJJ TOURNAMENT CHAMPION, 2008 GOLD MEDAL CALIFORNIA CLASSIC INTERNATIONAL BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU CHAMPION.

ANTONIO has been in the fitness and sports industry as a personal trainer , sports conditioning  specialist and practitioner  for over 15 years. In 2004, he founded Ultimate Training Center in Riverside, CA where he trained professional fighters, sports figures, celebrities, police officers, fire-fighters and the general public to achieve their personal fitness goals.  Antonio began CrossFitting in 2007 and  became certified as a level 1 instructor in 2008. His coaching skills truly reflect his passion and dedication to provide the best training to those who really want it!

BRIAN CAUBLE –   CFL1 TRAINER

COACH BRIAN  has more than 20 years of coaching and teaching experience  in areas ranging from youth sports to advanced training for Law Enforcement  Officers.  Brian began his CrossFit  ”journey” in April of 2010 was immediately addicted.  Under the guidance of Coach Tony, Brian quickly saw gains in strength and overall fitness, along with a 30 lb weight loss!  In addition to being addicted to the workouts, Brian fell in love with the people at UTC  and camaraderie displayed  by all during the WODs.  Brian obtained his CFL1 Certificate in June 2011.  He looks forward to combining his passion for CrossFit and experience in teaching to help make everyone at UTC the fittest that they can possibly be.

TOM JOLIN – CFl1 TRAINER

Coach Tom is  a CFL1 Trainer.  He  has been a life-long sportsman who showed his passion for physical fitness in playing baseball, football, wrestling, and weightlifting up through college.  Tom discovered CrossFit in July 2010 when looking for a way to break his workout plateau when training for a “Toughest Competitor Alive” competition. After seeing the catapulting improvements in his physical strength and health, Tom knew he caught the “CrossFit bug”. In July 2011 Tom obtained his CrossFit Level One certification and is currently realizing a lifelong dream of coaching, and encouraging UTC members to achieve their CrossFit goals.

JOEY WUEST – CFL1 TRAINER

Coach Joey is a CrossFit level 1 certified trainer. He is very enthusiastic about CrossFit training and nutrition. Joey started CrossFitting summer 2011 and lost 23 lbs. as well as increasing in overall strength and speed. His most recent venture is to make it to the 2013 CrossFit games. His passion for CrossFit is only growing and you can catch him any given day at UTC doing up to 3 WODs just for fun. When he and his wife Irma are not at the box training, they enjoy spending time with their two beautiful daughters Madeleine and Ava. Joey loves to train and meet new people, so if you come to the box just look for the trainer wearing the funky colored Chuck Taylor shoes.

MITCH CORTEZ – CFL1 TRAINER

Coach Mitch is a Level 1 Certified Trainer. Mitch was looking for something that would push both his physical and mental limits. He had always been active since he was in high school competing in sports such as football and basketball.  After numerous years Mitch found himself overweight and out of shape. He was introduced to UTC CrossFit and was instantly hooked. UTC CrossFit thought him how to eat better, train better, and in general live better. Under the guidance of Coach Tony he saw a huge difference in his body losing 70lbs and gaining strength more than he has ever had. Mitch is passionate about coaching and helping others discover what they can achieve. He strives to be a better coach as well as a better CrossFitter and UTC has definitely given him both these opportunities. Mitch is living proof that anyone with a dedicated heart can achieve their fitness goals. Apart from coaching, Mitch is a great husband, and loving father of 4.
