12/27/09 Sunday Rest Day

Tapping Out: It is important in BJJ to signal when you are in a submission hold that you can not escape from. This is called tapping out and can either be done by tapping the mat, tapping your opponents leg or body, or verbally saying “Tap” or other verbal acknowledgement.
Tapping prevents injury from occurring and is not a sign of weakness. Eveyone gets tapped out at some point in their training; do not be afraid to tap out so that we may continue to maintain a safe and injury free training environment.
